Vung Tau Vietnam Beaches Villa Blanche

Vung Tau, Vietnam is a seaside town on a small peninsula about an hour and a half south of Saigon by car or hydrofoil.







Ho Chi Minh City residents visit the beaches here on weekends.  Its a quiet place to relax in the sun and sand now, but back in the day, it was an important port town.

Bach Dinh or Villa Blanche was the summer residence of the French governor Doumer back in the early 1900s known as White Palace. Learn more...

Saigon War Remnants Museum and Ho Chi Minh City Tour

Today we continue our tour of Saigon more formerly known as Ho Chi Minh City the former capital of anti-communist South Vietnam.

The Saigon Opera house is a three story 800 seat theater that was also used as home of the Lower House assembly of South Vietnam. Our guide makes sure we’ll still be around to see the war museum later in the day.

The Saigon City Central Post Office features the architecture of the French colonial age and was created by the same designer who designed the Eiffel Tower. Read more...
